In the morning we leave from Carúpano and go south through the state of Monagas. For lunch we reach the mangrove swamp and animal reserve "Largo", and from here we start an exciting boat tour to Rio Morichal. With some luck, we will meet the small river dolphins, before we enter the mangrove thickets to look at caimans. The Rio Morichal largo is rich in bird life, and is one of the most interesting destinations in the area.
Afterwards, we continue to the Orinoco , which we cross on an adventurous ferry called "la chalana". The 15 - minute crossing is an adventure in itself.
In Puerto Ordaz, one of the two cities that forms the area of “Ciudad Guayana”, we rest to view the waterfall "La Llovizna ". This is a first, very convincing impression, of what waterfalls to expect in the south of Venezuela. The park offers many places for resting and hiking, amid innumerable waterfalls and rapids that are rushing even in the dry-season.
The end of the tour is either at the bus terminal in Puerto Ordaz in time to take the night bus to Santa Élena, or in the Posada in Ciudad Bolívar.

Canaima National Park:
1st Day
In the morning, flight from Ciudad Bolivar to Canaima. Boat trip across the lagoon of Canaima . Short hike over the river island to the waterfalls "Sapo" (frog) and "Sapito" (small frog). Subsequent boat trip on the Rio Carrao along the high table mountains in the direction of "Salto Angel" to the base camp.
2nd Day
Early in the morning you continue by boat on the river "Churun" up to the island "Raton". 1-hour hike through the jungle to the base of Salto Angel. Swimming opportunities in it's pool. Afterwards you return to the island "Raton" and the base camp by boat.
3rd Day
In the morning you return to the lagoon of Canaima. Opportunities to swim in the lagoon. In the afternoon you fly back to Cd. Bolivar.

Itinerary: (Ciudad Bolivar - Kavac -Salto Angel - Ciudad Bolivar)
1st Day
Departure in the morning from Cd.Bolivar to Kavac by plane. Hike to the gorge and waterfalls of Kavac.
2nd Day
In the morning, flight from Kavac to Canaima. (The rest of the trip is similar to the Canaima Tour, Day 1 to 3) Boat trip across the lagoon of Canaima. Short hike over the river island to the waterfalls "Sapo" (frog) and "Sapito" (small frog). Subsequent boat trip on the Rio Carrao along the high table mountains in the direction of "Salto Angel" to the base camp.
3rd Day
