In the noth- east side of the state of "Sucre", between the peninsulas of "Araya" and "Paria", is located the interesting town of Carúpano.

A cheerful city, Carúpano had a big importance because of its harbor earlier from where the shiploads were transported from cafe and Cacao. It is an ideal starting point to visit pariah around the peninsulas Araya also as the tropical peninsula.

The Carneval of Carúpano is known as one of the best Venezuela, because of its variety of moves, the glad colors, the nightlife and the sympathy of the inhabitants. Also the old part of town, even if not spectacular, is quite nice, however, and in every case a visit dear. The market (Mercado Municipal) of Carupano is typical, very big and worth seeing. Here one can meet the biggest fish market of the zone, but also handicraft, clothes and of course all foods acquire.
